TGS is seeking to recruit a commercially driven Account Manager for some for some of our most valued clients in Europe. As part of an Eastern Hemisphere sales team, you will take responsibility for sales of multi-client seismic data and products to some of the most established oil and gas companies with operations in Europe. Some of your accounts will have a wider geographical reach.
In addition, you will coordinate engagement with your clients for all TGS service lines and build an account plan to ensure that we understand our clients and they know how TGS can support their goals. We are looking for a self-starter with commercial acumen and a proven track record of networking. An understanding of the seismic industry is valuable, but we don’t require a technical geophysics background.
Purpose & Scope:
· Responsible for driving multi-client data sales across Europe, including contract negotiation, deal closing and account management.
· Executes sales strategy, supports revenue targets, and ensures effective delivery of TGS’s data library.
· Collaborates across geoscience, GIS, legal, and other support functions to enable smooth sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Owns portfolio of specific client accounts
· Identify and qualify leads through networking, research, and outreach
· Converts leads to sale through deal negotiation and close • Deliver tailored sales presentations to prospective and existing clients
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans with accurate forecasting and pipeline management
· Align marketing initiatives with sales triggers and government partnerships
· Partner with Business Development teams to maintain up-to-date country strategies • Understand client motivations to guide sales efforts effectively
· Identify cross-selling opportunities across TGS service offerings
· Maintain deep product knowledge to support sales conversations
· Work with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention
· Maintain actionable account plans for key clients
· Continuously assess and improve sales processes
Key Competencies:
· Seismic & Subsurface Understanding: Strong understanding of seismic data and its role in subsurface evaluation and exploration decision-making
· Communication: Clear, effective messaging across diverse audiences; strong stakeholder engagement
· Sales Negotiation: Proven track record on converting complex deal negotiations through to close.
· Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of regional geopolitics, geology, regulations, and client landscape
· Business Acumen: Ability to balance strategic positioning with operational and commercial priorities
· Influence: Skilled in articulating TGS’s value proposition to clients and marke
