Junior Business Controller – B and D Lower

 

Purpose & Scope

• Support financial activities for a designated business area with a focus on accuracy, timely execution, and data integrity.
• Provide essential analysis and reporting to senior Business Controllers and business leaders.
• Collaborate with finance functions to ensure consistent processes, clear communication, and reliable service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering inputs, preparing templates, and updating models.
  • Ensure data accuracy and alignment with business assumptions under guidance from senior finance colleagues.
  • Track financial results and compare performance to plan/forecast
  • Conduct initial variance analysis and flag key issues or trends for review.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly reviews.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
  • Maintain reporting files and ensure quality, timeliness, and completeness in submissions to Corporate.
  • Provide data, analyses, and insights to business leaders on request.
  • Participate in discussions by supplying clear and reliable financial information.
  • Support initiatives and projects led by senior Business Controllers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis techniques.
  • Ability to work with financial data, identify basic trends, and summarize findings clearly.
  • Able to communicate financial information in a straightforward and clear manner.
    Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across functions.
  • Strong team orientation; works effectively with other colleagues
  • Growing understanding of the designated business area and its financial drivers.
  • Strong focus on data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Takes initiative in gathering information, anticipating needs, and supporting team and business priorities.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related area of study.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
