We are looking for a Global Benefit Specialist to join our People & Communication team. In this role, you will lead the evaluation, analysis, and renewal of benefit programs across multiple countries and regulatory environments, helping ensure our programs are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
This position combines benefits expertise with strong analytical and technical capabilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with complex data, identifying cost drivers and trends, leveraging technology solutions, and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations that support TGS’ Total Rewards strategy and broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Benefits Analytics & Reporting – Perform advanced analysis of benefits enrollment, utilization, claims, vendor performance, and workforce data to identify trends, forecast costs, measure program effectiveness, and support strategic decision-making.
- Strategic Benefit Planning – Support the development of long-term benefits strategies aligned with organizational objectives, workforce needs, and Total Rewards priorities. Leverage market insights and data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Annual Renewals & Vendor Negotiations – Lead the collection, validation, and analysis of renewal data to support negotiations with insurers, brokers, and third-party providers. Evaluate financial impacts and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Global Market Analysis – Monitor international benefits trends, regulatory developments, and competitive benchmarks. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support program design and decision-making.
- Program Optimization – Analyze benefit utilization, participation, employee feedback, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for enhancements, redesigns, and improved program effectiveness.
- Vendor & Partner Management – Partner with insurers, brokers, consultants, and HR stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, service excellence, and alignment with strategic objectives. Hold vendors accountable for reporting and performance metrics.
- Governance, Compliance & Financial Oversight – Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure timely invoice processing, accurate premium reconciliations, and effective budget management. Support compliance with local regulations and global governance standards.
- Data Integrity & Process Improvement – Ensure the accuracy and reliability of benefits data across systems. Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, operational efficiency, and data quality.
- Technology & Systems Management – Leverage HRIS, benefits administration platforms, reporting tools, and data visualization solutions to improve operational efficiency, ensure data integrity, and enhance reporting capabilities. Partner with internal technology teams and vendors to support system implementations, integrations, testing, and ongoing enhancements.
- Change Management & Stakeholder Communication – Support the communication and implementation of benefit changes through clear, data-backed messaging that drives understanding and adoption across diverse regions.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Consulting – Collaborate with HR, Finance, and regional leaders to provide analytical insights, support business decisions, and align benefit programs with organizational priorities.
- Other Duties as Assigned – Support additional Total Rewards, HR, and cross-functional initiatives as needed to meet evolving business and organizational priorities.
Key Competencies
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and leverage new systems, tools, and technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and analysis.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SuccessFactors, or other HRIS and reporting platforms preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, develop recommendations, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience supporting global benefit programs, vendor management, and data governance practices preferred.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or other related area of study
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a Benefits or data analytics role
This role is an office-based role, reporting to the Director, Workforce Development & Strategy.
