Purpose & Scope
- Responsible for optimizing global external spend through the planning and execution of strategic procurement and sourcing processes within the IT, cloud, and software space.
- Analyze, plan, execute, and follow up on tender and renegotiation activities.
- Leverage supplier base through Supplier relationship and contract management.
- Drive cost optimization within the category.
- Act as the strategic commercial owner and bridge between sourcing and procurement for large-scale IT, cloud, and software agreements, ensuring alignment between technical architecture decisions, financial commitments, and enterprise risk.
Key Competencies
- Proven experience negotiating enterprise IT, cloud, or software agreements >$3M.
- Strong understanding of cloud commercial and licensing economics (hyperscalers and Tier-1 software vendors).
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding (SaaS agreements, licensing models, cloud contracts, consulting agreements).
- Ability to establish and execute strategic plans to use strategic procurement as company leverage.
- Proven ability to manage change with personal commitment and drive.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to build business cases and quantify opportunities.
- Clear communication with external and internal stakeholders
- Experience leading RFx processes and negotiations with international suppliers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior leaders.
- High integrity and compliance focus.
- Comfortably working independently in a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for IT & Digitalization (software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, IT services, consulting, cybersecurity, digital platforms).
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes (market analysis, RFx, negotiations, contract award, implementation).
- Strategic IT & Cloud Commercial Ownership.
- Establish and manage global framework agreements to ensure standardization, compliance, and scalability.
- Drive cost savings and value creation through negotiations, benchmarking, and demand management.
- Own supplier relationship management (SRM), including performance reviews, KPIs, and continuous improvement plans.
- Lead executive briefings on major IT & Digitalization contracts, preparing business cases, summarizing negotiation scenarios, and recommending the optimal path forward.
- Partner with EIT leadership, Finance, and Legal to govern large deal approvals, financial exposure, and vendor lock-in risk.
- Support IT and business stakeholders in shaping sourcing strategies for new digital initiatives and projects.
- Manage procurement-related risk topics including data security, supplier resilience, compliance, and sustainability.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of sourcing opportunities and report progress, savings, and key risks to management.
- Own and lead commercial negotiations with AWS, GCP, Azure, and Microsoft for multi-million-dollar agreements ($3M+).
- Act as the commercial gatekeeper for large IT and digital initiatives, challenging demand assumptions and architecture-driven cost decisions.
