The intern will collaborate with a team of scientists, engineers, and geophysicists to advance cutting-edge seismic processing, inversion and imaging techniques. Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, the intern will participate in hands-on research, developing software solutions that address real-world challenges while gaining practical experience in seismic data. This internship provides a unique opportunity to strengthen technical skills, work with innovative technologies, and make a meaningful contribution to critical projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with R&D teams to research and develop advanced seismic processing algorithms and methodologies.

Apply physics-based and data-driven approaches (e.g., machine learning, AI) to enhance seismic data analysis and interpretation.

Investigate and validate new techniques using synthetic and real-world seismic datasets.

Perform numerical simulations, modeling, and algorithm testing to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of research concepts.

Contribute to the development of tools and workflows for seismic processing and imaging.

Document research findings, write technical reports, and present results to internal teams or stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a PhD program (Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field).

Programming experience (C, C++, Fortran 90 or Python).

Experience in at least one of the following areas:

- Numerical methods for simulating wave propagation in complex media
- Advanced seismic imaging and inversion methods
- Uncertainty quantification.
- Advanced data processing methods.

Experience with seismic field data is a plus
