Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to begin their career in GIS within a collaborative and supportive environment.

As a GIS Technician at TGS | 4C Offshore, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality geospatial data, analysis, and mapping solutions that support market intelligence and onshore expansion activities.

Working closely with experienced GIS professionals, including the GIS Analyst and GIS Manager, you will gain hands-on experience in geospatial data management, analysis, and automation while developing your technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Geospatial Data Management & Analysis

• Use tools such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS to create and manage spatial data
• Support the creation, processing, and maintenance of spatial and non-spatial datasets
• Assist with spatial analysis to support onshore market intelligence and research activities
• Help maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
• Contribute to data quality checks (QC), validation, and gap analysis
• Produce clear and accurate maps and visualisations for internal use

Automation & Technical Development

• Support the development of Python scripts and geoprocessing tools (training can be provided)
• Assist in improving GIS workflows and processes through automation
• Contribute to testing and updating GIS datasets
• Help document workflows, tools, and datasets
• Support updates to web map services, including basic styling and data updates

Internal Stakeholder Support

• Provide day-to-day GIS support to the Onshore Market Intelligence team
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and assist in delivering GIS outputs
• Support the delivery of datasets, maps, and analysis for research and decision-making

• Awareness of web GIS or mapping services (e.g., WMS/WFS)
