Market Analysts – Onshore Wind 

 

 TGS | 4C, a leading provider of offshore wind intelligence, is entering the onshore wind intelligence sector.  Market Analysts are required to guide the development of new intelligence and analytics solutions, building on and enhancing our onshore wind farm databases. 

 

Market Analysts should bring an existing knowledge of onshore wind and an analytic approach to forecasting and policy analysis. They will work across teams to shape TGS | 4C’s coverage in this area. 

 

LOCATION: TGS Offices in Oslo, Norway, Norwich, UK or Weybridge (Greater London), UK

Purpose & Scope of Role: 

  • To collaborate with colleagues in developing onshore wind databases, analytics solutions and reportage. 

  • To lead on market coverage in onshore wind intelligence. 

  • To analyse policy and trends. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with peers in the Market Research and Innovation teams to build up extensive and up-to-date databases of onshore wind farms across Europe and globally. 

  • Monitor and update technology and stakeholder databases. 

  • Lead onshore wind market intelligence reporting. 

  • Engage proactively with customers and industry stakeholders and assist in consultancy projects. 

  • Present externally at events and in webinars. 

  • Participate in quality control. Work ethically and effectively with artificial intelligence to maximise accuracy. 

 

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as economics, business, mathematics, engineering, energy journalism, or policy analysis. 

  • Strong research skills and an analytic mindset. 

  • Existing knowledge of onshore wind.  

  • Evidence of strong communication skills. 

  • Experience of quantitative or qualitative analysis. 

  • Excellent collaboration and time management skills. 

Desirable Skills and Experience: 

  • Direct experience of onshore wind analysis or reporting. 

  • A postgraduate qualification or equivalent. 

  • Advanced industry, sector, and/or technical knowledge or experience. 

  • Familiarity with data languages such as SQL. 

  • Additional skills in a specific area such as economics, coding, or languages.
