As part of our continued growth, TGS | 4C is expanding its intelligence offering into new renewable technologies, including the development of a market‑leading onshore wind intelligence service.


Purpose of the job

To sell TGS | 4C market intelligence subscription and consulting services to potential customers, including businesses, governmental organisations, and trade bodies, across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The role involves strategic business development planning and actions, and approaching potential customers to win new business and maintaining strong relationships with clients to obtain repeat sales. Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration.


About you

  • Proven track record in business development and sales, ideally for a high-growth subscription-based business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to cultural diversity across (APAC) markets.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a regional and global team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher).
  • Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Minimum bachelor degree in sales, marketing or other relevant field
  • Fluency in English; additional APAC languages are desirable


Responsibilities


Business Development:

  • Analyse the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to the organisation.
  • Plan and organise personal sales strategy by maximising the return on time investment for the territory/segment
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers, gather information to determine their potential, with a focus on APAC market intelligence, and develop client target lists.
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers across APAC.
  • Represent TGS | 4C at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations as required. Including those specific to APAC markets.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of TGS 4C and competitor product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through reading pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.


Sales

  • Coordinate sales efforts with sales management and technical service groups.
  • Handle telephone calls, video calls, and in-person visits and presentations efficiently with existing and prospective customers to build and maintain relationships
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers, considering local business practices and languages where appropriate.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales, considering local regulations and business customs. Including creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process dictated by the prospective customer.
  • Record sales and order information in internal CRM with responsibility of own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
  • Feed future buying trends back to management.
  • Attend team meetings and share best practices with colleagues, working closely with TGS | 4C’s Sales and Consultancy teams, based in the United Kingdom.

Reporting to: Sales Manager

Hours: 09.00 – 17.30 (local time, with flexibility for regional time zones)

Location: Office-based or hybrid within the APAC region

Salary: Competitive, with a generous commission structure
