Market Analyst or Senior Market Analyst 

LOCATION: Norwich, Oslo or Weybridge (Greater London). TGS | 4C main office is located in Norwich, UK. Alternative office locations are the TGS offices in Weybridge, UK or Oslo, Norway.  

TGS | 4C is a leading provider of market intelligence for the global offshore wind industry. Providing data-led and research-informed insights into global offshore wind farms and frameworks, we are trusted by the entire value chain. TGS | 4C also offers consultancy services for the marine, subsea cable and offshore wind industries. In 2026, we will expand our market intelligence coverage to additional renewable energy technologies.  

The Market Analyst will be responsible for offshore wind market research in key markets. The analyst will analyse and forecast offshore wind project trends, maintain databases, and contribute to regular reports.  If the preferred candidate brings a minimum of five years of relevant analyst experience, the role and job title will be Senior Analyst.   The successful candidate will maintain strong industry networks, collaborate across teams, and proactively engage with customers and stakeholders. Advanced research and analysis skills, sector awareness, and strong communication abilities are essential.  

Purpose & Scope of Role:  

• To grow the accuracy and reach of forecasting activities across key geographic markets. 

• To maintain TGS | 4C’s database and contribute to reports and webinars.  

• To analyse policy and project developments in key markets.  

Key Responsibilities:   

• Maintain extensive and up-to-date event, technology, and stakeholder databases.  

• Contribute to sole-author and multi-author reports.  

• Expand and develop coverage of key geographic markets.  

• Engage proactively with customers and industry stakeholders and assist in consultancy projects.  

• Present externally at events and in webinars.  

• Participate in quality control.  

Essential Skills and Experience:  

• A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as mathematics, engineering, energy journalism, or policy analysis.  

• Strong research skills and an analytic mindset.  

• Awareness of offshore wind and floating wind.  

• Evidence of strong communication skills.  

• Experience of quantitative or qualitative analysis.  

• Excellent collaboration and time management skills.  

Desirable Skills and Experience:  

• A postgraduate qualification or equivalent.  

• Advanced industry, sector, and/or technical knowledge.  

• Familiarity with data languages such as SQL.  

• Additional skills in a specific area such as economics, coding, or languages.  

• Experience of financial analysis is desirable.
